Athletes who need a Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) bib number will be responsible for raising a minimum of $10,000. Qualified athletes are welcome to join the team and will be responsible for raising a minimum of $1,000.

Caring for a Cure
Founded in 2011 by oncology nurses at Mass General, Caring for a Cure is dedicated to improving the entire care journey of patients with cancer and their families — offering resources to ease the burdens that come with a cancer diagnosis, supporting research that drives innovation, and raising awareness to strengthen the community of care.
Emergency Medicine

Frequently Asked Questions
When will I know if I am on the team?
Each application will be reviewed by a selection committee, and athletes will be accepted on a rolling basis. We send out updates throughout the recruitment period and intend to fill the team as quickly as possible. Athletes can generally expect a decision in two weeks.
What is my personal fundraising requirement?
Athletes who need a Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) bib number will be responsible for raising a minimum of $10,000. Top consideration will be given to applicants who agree to fundraise more than the required minimum and provide a detailed fundraising plan.
Can qualified athletes join the team, and if so, what is the fundraising requirement?
Yes! Anyone who secures a bib on their own and is registered through the B.A.A. can join the team. Qualified athletes must complete an application and fundraise a minimum of $1,000.
