Registration Fees and Fundraising

When you join us for the Mass General Brigham Eversource Cancer 5k Run-Walk, you will help us make a difference for patients with cancer and their families. Register today!

Registration fee: $50

Use the promo code READYSETGO from now until race day to take 50% off your registration fee.

Registration is FREE for all participants under 18 years old, Mass General Brigham employees, and virtual participants.

Maximize your impact by fundraising for Mass General Brigham Cancer Institute through your participation in the 5k. Fundraising is optional but encouraged. Registration fees are separate from fundraising.

5k Run: $500 suggested fundraising goal

5k Walk: $250 suggested fundraising goal

You can sign up by registering on this page. Please contact us if you are having problems registering.

Can I create or join a team?
Yes, you can create a new team or join an existing team when you register. If you have any questions about creating or joining a team, please contact us.
What if I don’t meet the suggested fundraising goal?

Fundraising is optional, but encouraged. We are grateful for your support and for any amount you fundraise. You will not be charged the difference between funds raised and the suggested individual fundraising goal.

If the registration fee creates a financial barrier to participating in our event, please contact us.

Is there an age requirement for the Kids’ Dash?
Yes, the Kids’ Dash is open to all children age 8 and under.
What is the 5k route?
The 5k route stretches from the Hatch Shell to the Outdoor Gym and back with multiple water stops along the route. It is a beautiful run on the Esplanade along the Charles River!
Can I bring my stroller?
Strollers may be used in the 5k Walk only. They are not permitted in the 5k Run or Kids’ Dash.
Will my race be timed?
Yes!
Where should I park? Will my parking be validated?
There are a variety of parking options in the Mass General and Hatch Shell areas. Parking will not be validated.
Can I sign up on race day?
Yes! Registration opens at 7:00 am.
Will there be food at the race?
The Four Seasons Hotel Boston generously hosts a breakfast for all participants after the race.
Will there be prizes?
Yes! There will be fundraising incentive prizes offered to all participants up until race day. To be considered as one of the top fundraisers, all fundraising dollars must be received by 11:59 pm on September 19. We will announce the top fundraisers at the race.
How do I submit an offline donation?
We encourage all participants to solicit donations via their web pages for the fastest donation processing and most up to date totals. In the case of offline gifts, checks should be made payable to “Mass General Brigham” with “Mass General Brigham Eversource Cancer 5k Run-Walk” and the participant’s name in the memo field. Please mail offline gifts to: Mass General Brigham, Development Office, 399 Revolution Drive, Suite 1330, Somerville, MA 02145. If you have question about offline donations, please contact us.
Can I personalize a system generated thank you?
Yes – to send a personalized thank you message to your donors, just log in to your account and visit your dashboard.
I made a donation and want to ensure it is credited to the correct runner/walker.
You must visit the participant’s page directly or use the drop-down menu to locate the participant’s page to make a gift in support of a specific runner/walker. Any gift made on the participant’s personal fundraising page will be credited to that person. The gift should appear immediately. If you have any issues with a gift appearing on the participant’s page, please contact us.
My company will match my gift; how do I start this process?
Many companies match charitable gifts made by their employees, retirees and directors. Please consult your company’s human resources department to learn if your workplace matches gifts to hospitals and how you can request a matching gift. Your company will contact Mass General Brigham directly to confirm your gift. For more information about matching gifts, please contact us.
Can I make a donation anonymously?
Yes, you can choose to be anonymous when completing the online gift form.
Can I make a donation in honor or in memory of someone?
Yes. After selecting a donation amount, please check the box next to “Dedicate my donation in honor or in memory of someone” and fill out the tribute form.
