“A bright light”: Peck family gives back in honor of wife and mother

When Penny Peck lost her life to glioblastoma, her family lost a shining light. They decided to give back to Penny’s caregivers as she would have wanted, establishing in her memory the Penelope B. Peck Brain Cancer Research Fund at Massachusetts General Hospital.

I’d like to include a request to donate in an obituary. Is there specific language I should use?

Thank you, yes. We suggest the following language for obituaries: "In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of [name of deceased] to support [area of interest] at Mass General Brigham. Gifts can be made online at mgbgiving.org/tribute or by mail to: Mass General Brigham Development Office, 399 Revolution Drive, Suite 1330, Somerville, MA 02145."
